By John Hielscher, Sarasota Herald-Tribune

A home overlooking Venice Beach has sold for $1.65 million, the highest-priced residential sale on the island this year.

Ronald and Angela Migedt paid cash for the home at 721 Granada Ave., which was on the market for just 64 days.

The four-bedroom, three-bath home, built in 2012, contains 3,287 square feet under air and 5,606 square feet total. It offers unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico from the upstairs verandah and a solar- and electric-heated saltwater pool.

Kim Stephens of Re/Max Alliance Group represented sellers Marc and Rachel Lebel. Kym Biggar III of Allison James Estates & Homes represented the buyers.
