SARASOTA — Re/Max Alliance Group is expanding north through a merger with Re/Max Bay to Bay.

A total of 75 associates in the four Re/Max Bay to Bay offices will become part of the Sarasota-based Alliance Group.

The combined real estate agency will have about 350 associates with total 2018 production of nearly $1.4 billion and 4,700 transactions, according to a news release.

Re/Max Alliance operates seven offices in Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties. Bay to Bay’s offices are in North Tampa, South Tampa, Riverview and Tarpon Springs.

“A lot of exciting growth is happening throughout the Tampa Bay area,” Re/Max Alliance Group broker/co-owner Peter Crowley said in a statement. “The boundaries between the Tampa Bay and the Bradenton/Sarasota markets are continuing to blur. We see this move as a natural extension of the area that we serve.”

James Ramos, broker-owner at Bay to Bay, will be a partner and continue to operate his other businesses as well as lead the Ramos Professionals Group team at the merged agency. He will also serve in a consulting capacity in future acquisition opportunities.

“The merger brings added resources and support to our agents such as an in-house marketing department and in-house legal counsel, allowing us to serve our customers at an even higher level,” Ramos said.

Re/Max Alliance ranks as the top Re/Max franchise in Florida and 15th nationwide.
